Vice President Candidate
Troi Mullins
I have been a proud member of Dreams Unleashed
Networks, Inc. for almost a year, and it has been an
incredible experience. Being part of a community of like minded, supportive, and caring women has truly been inspiring. The sense of camaraderie and encouragement I’ve felt has motivated me to go above and beyond for this organization. The warm welcome and appreciation I’ve received from everyone have made this journey both rewarding and fulfilling which is why I want to be more
involved and engaged.
As a single mother at the age of 19, I learned early on the value of resilience, determination, and hard work. While pursuing my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, I balanced the demands of college life with raising my daughter, even bringing her to class during those formative years. My journey in higher education culminated in earning my master’s degree with a 3.6 GPA—a testament to my commitment to growth and excellence.
My passion for community engagement has been a cornerstone of my personal and professional life. In Colorado, I actively contributed to my community as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and as part of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Denver Chapter. These experiences allowed me to foster connections and advocate for meaningful change.
After moving to Houston to embrace a leadership opportunity, I advanced from Supervisor to Senior Manager, leveraging my expertise to develop an extensive training program designed for both internal and external candidates. This program has been instrumental in shaping the careers of many and reflects my dedication to empowering others.
At Comcast, my primary responsibilities include developing talent, driving business expansion, and ensuring operational excellence. Last year, I successfully led efforts to expand our network to reach 131,000 customers, and this year, we are on track to achieve a milestone of 145,000 customers.
In addition to my role at Comcast, where I have spent six years in leadership, I serve on the board of the Young Professionals Network. In this capacity, I help plan and host events that inspire and connect young leaders. My leadership experience also includes interviewing influential figures, such as the Regional Vice President of Texas at Comcast, gaining insights into strategic growth and innovation.
These experiences reflect my passion for leadership, community impact, and achieving ambitious goals. I am honored to bring my unique journey, proven track record, and dedication to Dreams Unleashed Networks, Inc., as a candidate for Vice President. Together, I believe we can inspire and achieve remarkable growth and success.

Secretary Candidate
Courtney McDonald
Hello Fellow Board Members
My name is Courtney McDonald, and I have been a member of DUSN for 2 Years. I am
a Network Project Manager for Comcast. I have been with Comcast for 19 years and
have been involved in several projects including Superbowl 51 (Houston) and currently
co-facilitating a Pilot Shadow Program for our Department that allows fellow employees
to shadow our Construction team. I currently hold a Board Position with My Abilities
ERG group within Comcast. I am the Co-chair for the Events Committee. With DUSN, I
am currently a co-chair for the Events committee working alongside with my fellow
DUSN Sister, Lolita Harris, who has been phenomenal. Sharing her ideas and expertise
with planning and executing successful events as well as being an entrepreneur. Still
must more to learn, but forever grateful for the opportunity. I was also able to help
facilitate a training for our Dreamweaver with Social etiquette/skills. This was very
essential with our cohorts, to help them prepare to network in a professional /social
setting that helped them promote their business and practice building relationships.
My vision for Board Secretary for DUSN if selected is not one of complexity but
simplicity. Simply meaning being Present as much as possible, Flexible when needed,
being Accountable always, and being Supportive for my fellow Board Members.
In this role, as our organization grows, it is important that everything that we do is not
only documented but be strategic and be able to convey and communicate effectively.
All of the opinions, ideas, and concerns, those aspects, are important to help ensure our
growth and keep us align with our Goals and the Mission of DUSN
Since Communication is a pivotal duty with the secretary, Once of my Main goals is to
create a centralized Communication Portl/Sharepoint. This will house majority, if not all
documents for our organization. Below are items/Ideas I would like for it to loaded and
readily available for members to access.
1. Previous Minutes from the Meetings– that included Listing action items to
address/take aways
2. Reminders for next meeting date ( Members can lock those dates in as it Is
important for everyone to attend meetings)
3. Create a Calendar for Events, Birthday and Days of Importance that accessible
to members
4. Phone Tree ( Includes contact information for Members including committees)
5. Documentation for Dreamweavers ( Assignments, schedules, To Do list etc..)
These are just a few ideas that I would like to implement. My main focus is to keep
everyone informed and updated as much as possible and to try to reduce last minute
issues.
I want us to be as proactive as possible and prepared as much as we possibly can. We
pivot so much as woman so anything to make life easier for us is always a win for us.
I also want to partner with other board members to make the sharepoint beneficial to
them as well. If we are just loading pictures from events for Social Media or if we
creating content for our Dreamweavers Cohort sessions, we have a centralized place to
get that. I just really want us to be great space for us to continue to do great things and
remove as many obstacles as we can. We did so many amazing things in the last 2
years, I want us to continue that path of pure excellence. I am willing to help in any way
possible. My dedication, loyalty and unwavering love and support for our organization,
members and our cohorts will help get us to that next level we are striving for.
Thank you in advance.
Courtney McDonald
